It's well written, thoughtful and sets out practical steps that the Government can do to improve policing in NZ. Recommendations range from law changes to the basics which you would think were a no-brainer, like enough computers and radios to go around.

I'm confident that I'll be able to do the 2.4km run, As I'm physically fit, But not very strong. In addition, I look younger than my age. Are these things going to hamper my application at all?
Orange Box (PC) - HL2, Portal, Team Fort 2

Well...I went and bought the orange box, and so far so good. Portal is very cool, but I think It's taken me about 2 hours to get to the end of it...if that .

Apparently I can unlock/download new maps?

and Team Fortress 2...WOW! and WOW! The whole style of it is pretty cool, but it's such a fast paced game!! Going to take me a while to get the hang of it. Much faster than DOD:Source.

Anyone know any NZ servers or lists of NZ servers?

That 2.4 kay run...

Hi all

I am new here and the next step in the process for me is the PAT. I can do everything quite easily (even more than 20 push-ups ), but as for that run; just cannot do it in the allocated time... Have attended a PAT rehearsal. How many chances do you get or is the idea definitely to pass your PAT the first time around? Any tips?

Thanks guys.

Pay Grades

Hi Guys,

I am well aware of the starting salary for a constable, however, does it corrulate to a Band?? I heard that Constables start off on Band G, but the low end of Band G is higher than the published salary of 47500??

Cheers guys

Read this article last month and was wondering what most the cops think about the idea?

Quote:

Police uniform undergoes changes

Feb 5, 2008 12:45 PM

Police officers on the beat may soon be donning the iconic hard hat again.

The force is considering bringing back the helmet more than 12 years after it was axed.

The move is just one of several changes stemming from a recent review into the uniform...

http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/423466/1571639
